Custom Architect Serving Purcellville and Loudoun County, VA

The client for this renovated house in a semi-rural community outside Leesburg Virginia wanted to update an existing home to have a better flow and more interesting detailing. The client also requested that the rooms be opened up to the outside, and wanted all new windows and doors that were classic yet modern, and emphasized the view of the countryside setting.

We decided to repair the existing stairway and add a more classical style to the foyer by adding pilasters, which also allowed us to shift the first floor walls to widen a narrow hallway without visually disturbing the bedroom wall above. We also corrected the entry portico to have classically inspired detailing and be more in scale with the front of the home. Numerous other areas were updated or redesigned, including all the bathrooms and the kitchen, new pantries and closet, and new living area fireplaces.
